Be Different!

Just returned from a conference where there was a lot of discussion on buying local. Nearly everyone understands those dollars typically remain local dollars and are shared/re-spent/donated back into the programs and communities that support that same business. Exactly the philosphy that has guided us at CFpromo/I29 Sports for nearly three decades! Otherwise those funds end up going to a shareholder in France or their corporate or international headquarters based in Texas or the United Kingdom or other.
The tougher part of the conversation is how a small business stays price and product competitive with a larger operation that isn't local. Shouting Buy Local from the rooftops is not a strategy. Hope is not a plan. We shared there are two specific ways to differentiate. Again two strategies we follow every day at CFpromo/I29 Sports




Be Different!
- In your Quality! In your Service Levels! In your Sales Process! IN EVERYTHING!
Price Match Like for Like!
- As the Small Business, your overhead and cost modeling should, and has to compete! If not, you have to set that as a priority or the online age will engulf you. The online age has eliminated a majority of the premium one is willing to pay to simply stay local. Eliminate that hurdle in one step by offering to review and match like for like! It may cost a few pennies on this or that order, but in the long run you make the entire process easier for your customers and your operation!
